Dan Schafer

Affiliated with BMI (formerly with ASCAP)… Was a staff writer for Roulette Records’ publishing house (Big 7 Music) in the mid-sixties… An original member of the National Academy of Popular Music. Wrote the music and lyrics for the Off-Broadway play “Drac Is Back” in 1979. A former featured singer with the New York based Choraleers singing group. His song “A Miracle Or Two” was included in Paramount Group’s best songs of the year album “Catch A Rising Star”. Mr. Mack’s version of his song “West Bend” has recently been released by NBT Records for its “Ride The Train” series. Two other renditions of “West Bend” will soon be released by the “Amercord” and Hilltop Records labels for their respective “Star Route USA” and “America” albums. In addition his song “Daddy Where Has Mommy Gone” (“America”) and "What Is A Toy” (“Star Route USA”) will also be included. Barry has also written seven songs for the Starburst Records debut Christmas album “Remember Why” released in 2006. He is currently writing and producing a musical comedy “Heaven Help Us”
